Who we are
Da Panda IT, Inc. (“we”, “us”) operates dapandait.com and provides IT services to businesses in the Chicagoland area. Our address is 15 E. Palatine Rd., Prospect Heights, IL 60070.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit our contact form we collect your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you write in the message field. We use this only to respond to your inquiry and to provide services you request.
Information collected automatically. Our web host records standard server logs including IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. These are used for security and troubleshooting.
Analytics and ad measurement. We use Google Analytics 4 to see how visitors use this site, and we link it to our Google Ads account to measure whether our ads lead to visits and inquiries. A Google tag on our pages sets cookies and sends Google the page address and title, the page you came from, your browser, device and screen details, your language, and actions such as scrolling to the bottom of a page, site searches and the words searched, file downloads, video plays, starting or sending a form, and clicks on phone, email, support portal and outbound links. Your browser also sends Google your IP address. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We do not send Google your name, email address, phone number, or what you write in our contact form. Google signals and ad personalization are turned off, and we do not use this data for remarketing. The cookies are listed in our Cookie Policy.
Client data. When we deliver IT services we may access systems and data belonging to our clients. That access is governed by our service agreement with that client, not by this policy.
How we use your information
To respond to inquiries, deliver and support services, send service-related communications, understand how this site is used, measure the results of our advertising, meet legal and contractual obligations, and secure our systems. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Service providers
We rely on third parties to operate this site and our business, including our web host and email provider. They process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. Google provides our analytics and ad measurement. Google also uses the data it receives for its own purposes, such as maintaining and improving its services and protecting against fraud and abuse. Google explains this in “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services” at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Data retention
Contact form submissions are retained while a business relationship or prospective relationship exists, and afterwards only as long as needed for legal or record-keeping purposes. Google Analytics automatically deletes data tied to a visitor’s cookie once it is older than the retention period we set, which is 14 months at most and may be counted from the visitor’s most recent visit. Summary reports that do not identify a visitor are kept longer. Google Analytics cookies stay in your browser for up to 2 years unless you delete them.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you by emailing info@dapandait.com. Illinois residents and residents of other states may have additional statutory rights. We honor applicable requests. To stop Google Analytics from measuring your visits to this and other sites, install Google’s opt-out browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage how Google personalizes ads at https://adssettings.google.com.
Security
We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is directed to businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the date above.
