Managed IT Services for Chicagoland Business
Break-fix IT means you only hear from your provider when something is already broken and already costing you money. Managed IT flips that. We monitor, patch, and maintain your systems so the outage does not happen in the first place.
What we do
Your IT department, without the payroll
One provider covering the whole stack, from the workstation on the desk to the firewall at the edge.
Helpdesk Support
Your staff get a real person who already knows your environment. No repeating your setup to a stranger every time, no ticket bouncing between tiers before anyone with authority looks at it.
Patch Management
Operating systems, applications, firmware, and network gear kept current on a schedule. The overwhelming majority of successful breaches exploit a vulnerability that had a patch available.
Proactive Monitoring
Failing drives, filling disks, dying batteries, and saturated links surface as alerts before they surface as downtime. Most of what takes a business offline announces itself first if something is watching.
Vendor Management
We deal with your ISP, your software vendors, and your hardware suppliers so you stop losing afternoons to hold music and support queues.
Asset and License Tracking
A current inventory of what you own, what it runs, when the warranty expires, and what you are paying for. Most businesses discover they are paying for licenses nobody has used in a year.
Documentation
Your network diagrammed, your systems documented, your passwords stored properly. If we part ways, you keep all of it. Holding a client hostage through undocumented infrastructure is a business model we are not interested in.
How onboarding works
Two to three weeks from signature to steady state for most small businesses.
Discovery and Audit
We inventory every device, server, and service you run, then document what we find. You get that document whether or not you continue with us.
Stabilize
We fix what is already broken or dangerously out of date, deploy monitoring and patching, and close the obvious security gaps before anything else.
Ongoing Management
Monthly reporting, scheduled maintenance, and a roadmap so hardware replacement is a planned expense instead of an emergency.
Stop paying for IT emergencies
A free assessment of your current environment, no obligation. You get a written summary of what we find either way.
FAQ
Managed IT questions we get asked
Break-fix providers earn revenue when things break, which is an incentive problem nobody likes to say out loud. Managed IT is a flat monthly fee, so preventing the outage is in our interest as much as yours. Practically, it means patching and monitoring happen on a schedule rather than after the fact.
Typically five to a hundred employees. Below five, an hourly arrangement is usually more economical and we will tell you that. Above a hundred you are generally looking at internal staff with us supporting specific areas rather than everything.
Either. Some clients want a full handover. Others have someone handling day-to-day support and bring us in for network, security, or infrastructure work their current provider does not cover. Both arrangements work.
You take it. Documentation, network diagrams, credentials, and configurations are yours. We will hand them over and assist with transition. Locking a client in through undocumented infrastructure is not something we do.
Standard coverage is business hours, with defined after-hours arrangements for genuine emergencies. We would rather be straight with you about coverage than advertise round-the-clock support and leave you on hold at 2am.
